Our Mission
CJC Music Associates and Publishing is an independent music and business services and publishing company. We seek to educate and empower talent, artists, writers, business owners, professional individuals and students to the best of their creative abilities while supporting them with products and services that will help enhance them in their professional careers and hobby-istic journeys.
History
CJC Associates/Music Studio Plus was the first dba back in 2001 by Christa Coir. Then she changed it's name to CJC Music Associates and Publishing; created in 2003 in response to the growing independent artists movement and to the owners personal plight for creative exposure in the music and entertainment industry. There was a great need for good talent & indie artists to have an agent rep, label, booking rep and publisher in order for them to be looked at seriously by other industry professionals to consider them for better exposure, services and publishing contracts in radio, TV and film. "Most often people are just in need of a good support system and business strategy to carry our their goals." says Christa.
Originally the company was founded and created by singer/songwriter, Christa Coir, who now serves as CEO for the corporation and encompasses several sub divisions of services under the corporate umbrella: CJC Music Radio Network, Noteworthy News, CJC Music Store, CJC Music Records, Esongwriter, & Corberlaw Office

Christa has been performing since the age of 9 yrs old, debuting at that young age in her first Opera in 1979, "Le Boheme", which paved her way to the beginning of her professional music and songwriting/singing career. Graduated from Notre Dame in 1987, she is also an Alumni from SUNY HCCC for Radio/TV, SUNY MVCC for Human Services and of SUNY OCC for Music Performance/Music Business and Boston University Paralegal Certification. Christa is now an ASCAP member and has written well over 100 songs to her credit. She was awarded 3rd place winner for Spirit of Syracuse vocal competition, the Editors Choice Award 2001 from Int. Poet's Society, and featured on Metropolitan Who's Who in Executives and Professionals 2002-2006 national business directory. From 1989-1993, she served as Assistant Director for an after school music tutorial program called "Music in The City: A Sound Alternative". It was a pilot anti-drug project to get children off the streets and steer them back through a music/arts program to aid the inner city school district.
Since then, she owns her own music and business services company providing consultation, marketing, advertising, promotion services worldwide as well as focused areas in music and entertainment, law and finances.
